We submitted the plans to the City of Savannah earlier this week for permitting!! One step closer to breaking ground!!

Here it is! We have submitted this design to the county for review. Next up is the city for permits. Then we can break ground! Stay tuned!!

SK8 Art: A benefit skateboard art show

Over 15 local kids (ages 4-12) participated in a 2 day art camp and created their own art on skateboards. These boards will hang from December 3rd – December 30th at Foxy Loxy Print Gallery and Cafe (1919 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401). The boards will be up for silent auction for the whole month, and we will have an opening reception on December 7th from 6-9 pm. Come out and support these kids and the skatepark!

Skateboard Art Camp for kids

Would your child like to be involved with a fundraiser for the skatepark?

We are looking for kids from 4-12 years of age.

We are going to be having an art camp at Form (1801 Habersham Street, Savannah, GA 31401) on November 10th & 11th from 9am-1pm.
We will be providing the skateboards, art supplies and instructors (SCAD professors, students, local artists).

The boards will then hang in Foxy Loxy Cafe the whole month of December and be silent auctioned off during that time.

The cost for the camp will be $50 and boards will be auctioned off starting at $25. All proceeds will go to the skatepark effort.

Tony Hawk Grant

We got it!!! We will be receiving 25,000 dollars (the maximum amount) from the Tony Hawk Foundation. Working to break ground this fall!!! More news soon…..

We have been working with Team Pain Skateparks on getting an appropriate engineering bid for the skatepark, and we hope to have a design session with the public very soon (the next couple of months). We also just applied for the Tony Hawk Grant. Keep your fingers crossed! More news soon….
